It is important that preschool education develops the skills because children Mevlevi Rites are classified as mystical musical forms that were composed to be performed during the Sema rituals and they are one of the lenghtiest musical forms of Turkish music. The earliest Mevlevi Rites in history were composed in pençgâh, dügâh ve hüseynî maqams and their composers are unknown. These earliest rites, known as beste-i kadim, were composed in the 16th century and since then this form has been attracting the interest of many composers. After examining the literature about the form that existed for centuries, it can be said that many examples composed after the 20th century did not have the chance to be performed and recognized. The aim of this study is to identify the all the composers of Mevlevi Rite up until now and to determine the numbers, maqams, and composers of the works in order to reveal the present situation. The data collected were examined and evaluated in the frame of the determined subject headings resulting in this descriptive study.
